Small animal hospital looking for 8th vet to join. Certificate holders happy to teach an enthusiastic vet with a specialist focus

We need a keen, enthusiastic vet to join the team in our SA vet hospital on the south coast, in Christchurch. Work with certificate holders in surgery, cardiology, dentistry and ophthalmology and have time to work up cases and achieve job satisfaction in our independent, 3 branch practice where we are proud of our non-corporate status. We fully support our vets in their certification studies so if you wish to shadow one of our current cert holders to work on your own pursuits we would be happy to assist you. Alternatively, we welcome any other area of interest that can complement our existing team.

Consulting hours average 4 hours per day, with one day operating each week. With a one hour lunch-break and at least ½ day off per week, we achieve a good work-life balance and we are proud to provide our own on-call service, including some LA cover.

We are a really friendly, supportive team of 7 full time vets that would like to welcome someone like-minded and easy going that can work well in a team environment and also on own initiative. We are traditionally a mixed practice though this post is for a small animal vet only unless you specifically would like to do some large animal work , in which case this could be accommodated if requested.

If this position is of interest to you, please apply by sending your CV and cover letter to
