INTENSIVE COURSE ON WILDLIFE MEDICINE
Duration: 2 weeks
Location: Portugal. Aimed at: 1- Vet students 2 – Qualified Veterinarians Contents: Theory lectures/open discussions about wildlife medicine and anesthesia with our team; Transport of different animals, clinical research, animal husbandry, orphan care, practical experience with dart gun and other relevant devices; Hands-on veterinarian assistance in wildlife chemical and/or physical immobilization, administration of the appropriate treatment and/or sanitary tests procedures; Participation in a social media wildlife vets group to continue exchanging experiences. Dates: 14th of October to the 1st November.
Transfers to and from the airport and all work-related transport
One (1) meal a day
Some other extra activities organized by EWS (exp Horse Riding on the Beach)
Does Not Include:
Vaccinations, travel insurance

Practical Side Planning and preparation of each procedure Darting of several animals Clinical exam, differential diagnosis and treatment of different species Possibly transport from A to B.
Work at the local Safari Park
Visit different farms with wild animals from the North to the South of Portugal.
