Experienced Vet required – A position in an excellent practice in South Croydon, Surrey. Highly desirable role.

We are looking for a permanent vet to work out of our Croydon practice. The position is full time (4 day week) but we are happy to consider part time applicants.

This position if to replace a highly experienced vet surgeon that has been with us for over 10 years but is relocating so we are hoping to find someone with at least 3 years post grad experience that can manage some sole charge work autonomously and with confidence. We recently staffed our self with new graduates so we do need someone that can take a senior role wherever possible

We are an independent practice with 4 full time vets,1 part time vet, 6 RVN’s and a reception team. 2 of our vets are certificate holders, orthopaedic and small animal medicine.

We have admin time allocated into the rota and we have a well-managed diary and reserve some appointments that can only be booked on the day for urgent/emergency cases so we do not become overwhelmed as like most practices we are very busy at the moment. Our appointments are 15 minutes for most things but we give double appointments for some things like euthanasia or 2nd opinions.

1:4 weekends with the following Monday and Tuesday off. Saturday is 8-5 (consulting 9-12)  and Sunday 8-4 (consulting 10-12). Holidays are 25 days per annum plus bank holidays for full time vets. No OOH’s during the week but as we prefer to keep inpatients in-house there is an inpatient rota. Patients that require constant monitoring are transferred to our OOH provider.

We cannot provide accommodation unfortunately
