It is with great pleasure that I am in search for a full time perm vet surgeon for my wonderful home town of Richmond, north yorks! This practice in particular is one of the communities preferred and most thriving surgeries! 🐱 🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱🐱 Our practice is looking for a vibrant, enthusiastic team member. Being just four miles off the A1, we have great transport links, and our location is just a stone’s throw from the pretty Yorkshire Dales towns of Richmond and Ripon. Our base includes many highly respected armed forces families from Catterick Garrison as well as the local community. The practice owner has sixteen years experience of both mixed and small animal practice and has interests in cardiology and ultrasonography. She is keen to share her knowledge and build a team with as many areas of interest as possible. We want you to know that we are a family orientated and friendly team who have genuine empathy for our patients. We are happy to support you and you will play a key role in our professional enthusiastic team. The surgery is built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, ultrasound and in house laboratory facilities. By joining us you will be part of a team dedicated to providing superb standards of client and animal care. You will need to be adaptable and flexible in your approach. The ideal candidate for this job will be someone with maybe a little experience in surgery and medicine; however we are happy to consider a new graduate. We like people to have the time to follow through their own cases from start to finish, and we are also more than happy to provide support where it is needed. We are a single site practice so no travelling between branches. We ideally need someone to work two full days each week (which may be at the weekend sometimes) but there will be no OOH. Hospital And Emergency Vet(s) Required: Surbiton, Surrey Our hospital/emergency vet team is expanding and we need exceptional Vets to work within our Emergency and Hospital Team at our newly refurbished, family-run, Surbiton Hospital. Our hospital is well designed with all the modern equipment so you can be the vet you trained to be. You will be able to use and develop your skills to work up your cases and make a real difference to challenging emergencies. Support is in easy reach from our friendly team that includes top specialists. The role is focused on the emergency and hospital care of a great variety of cases from our 7 branches. Our patients stay with us until they are better so you will enjoy case continuity. You will work closely with our specialist team to ensure our patients have gold standard healthcare without the need to travel for referral. Working alongside this team will support your own clinical development. You must enjoy client communication and be able to enhance the client bond with thorough explanation and a warm, compassionate approach. Meet Kat. Co founder of Fortis vets with partner Lee. Kat comes from a Linguistics and Business development background and after 10 years of living under the sun in Spain, she moved back to the UK to help set up this fab Bizz and grow her lovely little fam!

Meet Lee. Co founder and Director alongside partner Kathryn. Lee comes from Zimbabwe where he has had a fair share of exciting exposure to some raw wildlife. He has grown up with mass amounts of dogs throughout his life. A mans best friend. He does NOT like snakes. Lee is a big Motocross and golf lover and a keen fisherman. He deals with our specialist sector so neurosurgeons and cardiologists, he’s your guy!

Meet Emma: Emma is the head of our Midland regions and covers west and east midlands and North West. She tends to deal mainly with RVN’s as she is one herself though if you are a vet, feel free to give her a buzz also as she always has a lot of jobs to go around in her regions! She is a mummy to 2 lovely little ones with her youngest Olivia acting as her very cute and chatty PA and ever her partner Anthony is known to have the odd job for the odd vet here and there. She is very well connected in the Veterinary world so chances are she can easily find you your next dream job!

Meet Emily; Emily is the head of our South East regions for vets and RVN’s . Her and her husband recently relocated from Yorkshire down to Essex which is now one of the areas she covers. She is a mummy to 2 year old Abbie and to a VERY new little boy called Callum who was born in mid January 2018 and to a very lively and lovely springer spaniel called Zola! She is super friendly so feel free to give her a call to chat vet jobs!

Meet Charlotte. Our head of Finance and payroll officer. Shes a whizz with numbers, though she lives on a farm and has that many chickens she can no longer count them! Charlotte has also just taken over our Northern regions for permanent and locum vet and RVN vacancies so if you are a vet or nurse looking for a job up North, She’s your lass!

Meet Rae. She is an external Fortis body and lives in Lee’s homeland of Zimbabwe where she Directs and funds her own lion charity called ‘matusadona lion project.’ She is also Kat’s littlest sister and brings a little of Yorkshire to Africa! She is a PhD in wildlife conservation and allows some of our vets the opportunity to head over and help her with wildlife charities and CPD. She is also linked heavily with our wildlife fundraising and collaborates with other wildlife charities across the Globe. Right now she is in the Yukon territory playing with Wolves in the snow.. Exciting opportunities for our vets to have a couple of months away all start with her!

Meet Krissy. Our head of fundraising, creative marketing and PR. She is our creative lady that loves horses and chilling with her little girl! She doesn’t pop in often though if we have any digital art or branding issues, she’s our girl!

Meet Elsa. She is a real person not a chocolate bunny but as she is a new member of our team we are awaiting her description brief which is due to follow shortly…
